In our welcome post, we mentioned our long and difficult journey of getting our home licensed as an assisted living facility. During our journey, we would share our aspirations with family and friends; and many times they would ask, “What's an assisted living facility?” Now, we would generally expect that anyone who has found this site (and subsequently, this blog) would already know what assisted living is, as you (or a loved one) are a potential candidate for such services.
